WELCOME TO GENEVA

TitlepageDear colleagues,

On behalf of the Scientific Association of Swiss Radiation Oncology (SASRO), the Swiss Society of Radiobiology and Medical Physics (SSRMP) and the Local Organizing Committee, we extend a warm invitation to the annual scientific meeting which will be organized for the first time as a combined congress on April 3 to 5, 2003 in Geneva.

We are planning to offer you a meeting that is composed of stimulating scientific and clinical sessions as well as a broad range of physical, biological and technical activities of the Swiss Radio-Oncology centers. There will also be a platform for SSRMP members' activities outside radiation oncology.

Also for the first time we like to encourage the nurses of our departments to join our meeting and to have their own parallel session.

Bert Pastoors
Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee

GENEVA

Geneva is an international business and art center, the meeting point of world diplomacy; its political, economic and cultural aura combined with an excellent tourist trade make Geneva a major metropolis of world fame. Great international organizations like the Red Cross, the International Labour Office, the World Health Organization, have their headquarters here. The City of Calvin, clustering around its cathedral and the stronghold of the reformation, is an intellectual city, a metropolis of French-speaking Switzerland with busy streets, shopping centers and lakeshores.

CONGRESS & EXHIBITION VENUE

All sessions will be held at FORUM CREDIT SUISSE in Geneva, located in the city center, next to the railway station "Cornavin" (main railway station of Geneva).
Geneva is easily accessible by road, by train or by air. For the participants a reduced rate is available for the parking garage underneath the congress center.
